July 14, 2026Release 1.26.0
Improvements
- Drupal 11.4 makes websites noticeably faster and more efficient. It needs far fewer database requests, helping pages load more quickly and reducing the strain on your hosting environment.
- JavaScript and CSS files are also compressed more effectively, resulting in smaller downloads and a smoother experience for every visitor.
- We have updated all Drupal modules in use to their latest versions. This ensures that websites remain secure, stable, and perform at their best.
Accessibility
Based on audits we’ve conducted, we’ve implemented the following optimizations, among others, for all our clients:
- Hidden elements are no longer part of the reading order
Hidden parts of a page are no longer included in the reading order of screen readers. As a result, users only hear information that is actually visible and relevant. - Better support for form autocomplete
Form fields are now assigned the correct autocomplete attributes. This allows browsers to better auto-fill data such as name, address, and email address, making form filling faster and more user-friendly. - Clearly visible focus for videos
The focus indicator for videos has been improved so that users navigating with a keyboard can always see which element is active. This makes videos easier to control. - Descriptive names for video and audio iframes
Videos and audio loaded from external sources are given clear names, so that screen readers can better indicate what media is being presented. This helps users understand more quickly what content is available.
Bug Fixes
- The styling and caching of some overview pages were no longer working optimally. This has been fixed.
- In some cases, editors’ activities were still being tracked in Google Analytics and Matomo Analytics. These are now better excluded, so that the statistics provide a more accurate picture of visitor behavior.
- When sharing pages on social media, the correct image was not always displayed. This issue has been resolved.
